And then there were 2....

Well, the inaugural book club meeting was a little sparse, but the appetizers were good and we did get in at least 20 minutes of heavy-duty discussion about the book. Both Patty and I liked the book and we both feel that if we were put in that same situation we would be dead pretty quick. I was a little annoyed with the authors over-simplific writing style and the editors blatant disregard for spelling, while Patty was too engrossed in the story to notice any of that. We both agree that we need to go back and watch the movie, even though it doesn't cover as much as the book does.

There was a little confusion about the next book, and I would like to confirm that it is indeed To Kill A Mockingbird. Keeping with the two month reading program, how about we aim for a September meeting? How about Sunday, September 23rd? I know that's so far away, but we all seem so busy that I fear we won't get a date if we don't get something on the calendar soon.

Happy reading and let me know if that date works for you!

Btw, following are some interesting sites for TKAM:

I thought I left a message already, but I guess I didn't. The 23rd. doesn't work for me. We will have family in town.
